Task 1: Idea 2

My second idea is using a song called "Spot the difference" this is by a group of drill rappers called ONEFOUR. The genre of this music is Drill which is typically only performed by UK artist but this group is from Australia.
My idea for this song is very different to my first idea, with this song we will need at least five big intimidating guys to rap the song and for some scenes will need another group of guys to just stand in the background.

The start of the video will have the five guys driving down a road slowly with all of the windows down in the car and a tracking shot will be used. The first character to rap will look at the camera while the car is moving very slowly and rap his verse. The other characters will be handing out of the car holding bottles of alcohol and smoking. The car will come to a stop and there characters will get out of the car. The car will stop outside of a high rise building and the characters will be dancing while rapping into the camera. A girl will then get out of the car and start dancing around the men.

The second scene will change to a very dark area like a basement with the lights very dim. In this scene the group will all be wearing balaclava's or a mask to cover their identities. They will all be singing into the camera standing close together. When they are doing this they will be doing lots of hand movements and dancing. In this scene the room will be very smokey and they will be holding bottles of Hennessy and have cigarets in their hands.
It will be similar to the music video for "I Spy" which is set in a dark area with a large number of people dancing and rapping.

The shots will change from focusing on the whole group to then a different shot of the certain character shining into the camera. This will be done several times as its very effective and typical in lots of drill music videos. For props I'm going to get a large microphone on a stand like the one seen below. For this video the costume is very important, every character will be wearing dark clothing and have something which covers their face in some way.

This video will fit the style of the group ONEFOUR as many of they're own videos lots of the members are wearing balaclavas.

Task 1: My first Idea

My first idea is using a song called "Told her", this is by a Soundcloud artist named st4n. This artist is an old friend of mine, I feel his music would be perfect for a music video and also this would hopefully give his music a bit more recognition.
As he is a very small artist he doesn't have any music videos as he told me this would be too expensive for him to film and he doesn't have the correct equipment to film.

The main character in this music video I think should have a gothic/emo look with lots of jewellery and unusual hair style. The beginning of the video will start with the artist sitting on a sofa with his head deep in his hands looking very frustrated and upset, the shot will then move to a coffee table next to the sofa with a phone which keeps getting texts and phone calls from a girl. The artist will then look up at the camera and start singing the song looking directly into the camera.
The character will then stand up while still singing the song and the camera will use a tracking shot to capture this, will walk out the door. I want the whole video to seem as if its one continuous shot, so when he walks out of the door the other side of the door will be a forest. This is very hard to explain but will be very similar concept to the scene in the movie "The lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe" I feel if this is done well it will be very effective.

In the forest the main character will be walking around the forrest looking up at the tree while carrying on singing to the camera.
After this the main character will go through the same door he came out of but instead of walking into a living room he will walk onto a stage with very bright luminous lights with a big crowd appreciating this character.
In the song a rapper is featured with a very different voice which is more rap. When the main character is on stage the rapper heard in the song will come on stage and start singing his part of the song. I want him to have a bit of a different style and in the video really hype up the crowd. At the end part of the song when just the main character is on stage I want the camera to pan around the artist while he's still singing and when the camera comes back to where the crowd was to have absolutely no one standing where the crowd used to be.

I want the video to give off this impression that the main character was imagining this whole experience and I feel the ending of this video will portray this.
The main character in the video I feel should be wearing a very basic outfit like jeans and a white top.
I imagine that the rapper that comes on will be wearing very expensive, hyped items and to have a few fake tattoos on his face giving off this stereotypical "Soundcloud" rapper.
The artist I feel has a very similar style to Lil Peep who was a sound cloud rapper who tragically died after overdosing.

The start of the song, main character sleeping on a sofa.

He then walks through a door in the living room.

The door which he goes through brings him into a dense forest, very similar idea to "The lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe"

He then walks around the forest and goes back through the door.

The other side of the door is this stage with a large audience, the character starts performing to the crowd and another character comes on to rap part of the song.
The camera comes around and starts focusing on just the character close to the end of the song.
As the camera starts to come back around there's not a single person watching the artist and the song finishes.

Final Products: Digipak, website and Video.
