The Art and Use Of Titles
What are titles and why are they used?
-Titles give the institutional and creative names involved in funding, making and producing the film
-However, while they are incorporated as credits at the end of a film, the key information is often shown before the film.
-It's what's referred to as a title sequence.
What would you expect to see in an opening title sequence?
-There are actually 21 titles found in an opening credit sequence, appearing in a set order.
This may be the rule but often its unable to do.
These are the main 21; Money, production, directors name film, main star, film title, actor 1, actor 2, actor 3, actor 4, actor 5, casting, costume design, music, edited, production design, director of photography, executive producer, produced by, based upon, screen play, director.

What applies to the creative aspect of a title sequence?
-Font/style
-colours
-Framing/screen placement
-Pace of credits, transitions and edit

-Genre
-style
as well as maybe even hints to the narrative
